ORC Project House ("we," "us," or "our") operates Educator Companion™, an AI-powered educational platform designed to help teachers create inclusive, differentiated lessons and materials. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal data of our users ("you" or "teachers") and the student information you provide through our platform. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of all data processed through Educator Companion™, in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Account Data: Email address, name, and authentication credentials provided during registration.
Teacher Profile Data: Teaching subjects, grade levels, curriculum frameworks, teaching philosophy, communication preferences, and other professional information you share through the onboarding process.
Class Profile Data: Class names, student counts, academic levels, language contexts, social dynamics, and teaching approaches you provide to personalize AI outputs.
Student Information: First names, gender, language proficiency levels, learning needs, and behavioral notes entered by teachers. We do not collect student last names, ID numbers, or sensitive personal identifiers.
Generated Content: Lesson plans, materials, assessments, communications, and other outputs created through the platform.
Usage Data: Login timestamps, feature usage patterns, and conversation history for platform improvement.
We use your data to: provide personalized AI-generated educational materials; store and reference your profiles for consistent, context-aware outputs; improve the platform's functionality and user experience; communicate with you about your account and platform updates; and comply with legal obligations.
Educator Companion™ uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. Important protections:
No AI Training: Anthropic does NOT use any data sent through the API to train their AI models. This is guaranteed under their Commercial Terms.
Automatic Deletion: All data sent to Claude for processing is automatically deleted from Anthropic's servers within 7 days.
Stateless Processing: Claude does not retain memory between separate conversations. Context is provided fresh each session from your stored profiles.
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with servers in the European Union. We implement encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring teachers can only access their own data, secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and regular backups. No teacher can access another teacher's data, profiles, or materials.
We take special care with student information: only first names are used (no last names or ID numbers); student data is entered solely by authorized teachers; student information is used exclusively for generating personalized educational materials; we do not share student data with third parties beyond AI processing; and teachers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate school authorization to enter student information.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion request, all personal data is removed within 30 days. AI processing logs are deleted by Anthropic within 7 days. Generated materials can be deleted by you at any time.
Under KVKK and GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and data; receive your data in a portable format; object to certain types of data processing; and withdraw consent at any time. Educator Companion™ uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
Your data may be processed in the European Union (database servers) and the United States (Anthropic's Claude API, for AI processing only). These transfers are protected by Anthropic's Commercial Terms data protection commitments and appropriate safeguards.
Educator Companion™ is designed for use by teachers and educational professionals, not by children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from students. Any student information is entered by authorized teachers for creating personalized educational materials.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
