ORC Project House ("we," "us," or "our") operates Educator Companion™, an AI-powered educational platform designed to help teachers create inclusive, differentiated lessons and materials. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal data of our users ("you" or "teachers") and the student information you provide through our platform. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of all data processed through Educator Companion™, in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We kindly request that you read this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before using this platform. By accessing and continuing to use the platform, you agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service detailed below.

Account Data: Email address, name, and authentication credentials provided during registration.
Teacher Profile Data: Teaching subjects, grade levels, curriculum frameworks, teaching philosophy, communication preferences, and other professional information you share through the onboarding process.
Class Profile Data: Class names, student counts, academic levels, language contexts, social dynamics, and teaching approaches you provide to personalize AI outputs.
Student Information: First names or nicknames, gender, language proficiency levels, learning needs, and behavioral notes entered by teachers. We do not collect student last names, ID numbers, or sensitive personal identifiers.
Student Support Information: Teachers may enter limited student support information relevant to teaching and classroom adaptation, such as learning difficulties (for example, dyslexia) or behavioral support needs. This information is intended solely to support differentiated educational planning. We do not request medical diagnoses, health history, full surnames, national ID numbers, biometric data, genetic data, or information concerning religion, politics, or ethnicity.
Teacher Guidance Materials: Some generated outputs are intended only for teachers and may reflect student support information provided by the teacher. These materials are produced for professional educational use and are not intended to be shared directly with students unless reviewed and adapted by the teacher.
Generated Content: Lesson plans, materials, assessments, communications, and other outputs created through the platform.
Uploaded Documents: Teachers may upload curriculum documents, rubrics, teaching guides, school policies, and similar educational materials to help align AI-generated outputs with curriculum and school requirements.
Communication Data: We process email addresses and related notification records to send account notices, password reset messages, and important platform updates.
Usage Data: Login timestamps, feature usage patterns, and conversation history for platform improvement.
We use your data to provide personalized AI-generated educational materials tailored to your teacher and class profiles; store and reference your profiles for consistent, context-aware outputs; align AI-generated materials with your school curriculum and assessment standards; monitor technical performance and improve the platform; send account notifications and service updates; and comply with legal obligations.
Educator Companion™ uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. Important protections:
No AI Training: Anthropic does not use any data sent through the API to train their AI models.
Automatic Deletion: All data sent to Claude for processing is automatically deleted from Anthropic's servers within 7 days.
Stateless Processing: Claude does not retain memory between separate conversations. Context is provided fresh each session from your stored profiles.
Your personal data may be transferred on a limited basis to the following service providers:
Anthropic (USA): AI processing via the Claude API. Data deleted within 7 days.
Supabase (USA): Database, storage, and authentication services.
Vercel (USA): Platform hosting and deployment.
Resend (USA): Email delivery for account notifications and platform updates.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security ensuring each school's data is fully isolated. We implement encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. No teacher can access another school's data, profiles, or materials.
The platform may generate teacher guidance materials that contain student support information entered by you. Materials prepared to be shared with students must not contain personal data that would identify the student. Before entering student data into the platform, you are responsible for ensuring that necessary school authorization and, where applicable, explicit consent have been obtained.
We take special care with student information. Only first names or nicknames are used. Student data is entered solely by authorized teachers and used exclusively for generating personalized educational materials. We do not share student data with third parties beyond what is necessary for AI processing.
Your personal data is retained while your account is active and for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose. Upon account deletion request, your data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days. Data transferred to Anthropic for AI processing is deleted within 7 days. Uploaded documents and generated content are retained until you delete them or your account is closed.
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; request access to your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Your data may be transferred to service providers located in the United States (Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel, Resend). International data transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK and applicable GDPR safeguards, on the basis of explicit consent and appropriate safeguard mechanisms.
Educator Companion™ is designed for use by teachers and educational professionals, not by children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from students. Any student information is entered by authorized teachers solely for creating personalized educational materials.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
